I have vivid memories of eating Taste of the Tropics Orange Sherbet ice cream while growing up in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Every ice cream outing ended with orange sherbet and vanilla (yum!).
This week, I decided to turn this into a beverage that is a perfect for summer backyard hangouts or just to sip all summer long!
Boozy orange cremasicle with amaretto whipped cream
2 cups orange soda
2 large scoops Crmas Absalon Ice Cream- Original
1 cup amaretto whipped cream
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp Amaretto
To make the whipped cream, combine heavy cream, confectioners sugar and amaretto in a medium bowl. Using a mixer, beat the cream mixture until it thickens and soft peaks form.
To make the Cremasicle, add orange soda, cremas ice cream, and amaretto whipped cream to a blender. Blend for 10 seconds or until the mixture is smooth. Do not over blend!
In a glass tumbler of your choice, add a small scoop of ice cream the pour the Cremasicle into your glass. Dollop whip cream on top of the cremasicle. Voila! You have just made your very own Boozy Orange Cremasicle with Amaretto Whipped Cream!
